What on earth is that nut up to now?

So, I’m totally psyched to use this mediacast to meaningfully “extend the experience” of live events via the web. We’re going to rally the audience into “coming along for the ride” and be part of the Startup Weekend process. Watch the company unfold and even provide ideas and feedback in real time.

Sure lots of conferences are liveblogged, Twittered, streamed, etc., but I haven’t seen any reach out to the remote audience and actively engage them as the event unfolds in the live event taking place. But with ad-hoc, live, participatory tools like Qik, Seesmic, BlogTV, Utterz, etc. the remote experience becomes MUCH more interesting. That’s what has me so excited about this.

And it’s all going to be med-/lo-tech. My biggest point is: “ordinary” event attendees now have unbelievable power to use personal media & social networking tools to spread the experience. I want to rock that this weekend so we can all understand and explore how it might be applied to lots of different kinds of events in the future…

PLEASE TALK BACK. We’re here for you, the remote participants in this event, in this coverage, in this conversation. Tell us what you love/hate/want to see, etc.

We hope you enjoy the ride. Love, Pistachio.
